Helen was educated and enjoyed a professional career in both New York and Los Angeles with a studio in Venice, CA for over twenty years. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Getty Center, LACMA, the Brooklyn Museum and Museum of the City of New York, the George Eastman House and the Archives of the Venice Biennale, where her work was exhibited in 2006.
She moved to Santa Fe with her husband in 2016 to manifest her lifelong dream of owning horses and a ranch. They presently have three Tennessee Walking Horses, five Springer Spaniels and live on a ranch in the Arroyo Hondo area just south of Santa Fe.
The light and landscape of Santa Fe informs her new work and she is creating portraits, large format photographs and mixed media pieces for display in home, office or institutions. The State of New Mexico has embraced her vision by purchasing a piece for their AIPP program and giving her an artist’s grant for work created during Covid.
Her studio is located at her ranch just 15 minues from the Roundhouse and all are welcome to visit with an appointment.
